Movement, weight, and the feel of VEILBLADE
Why the jump curve was rebuilt eleven times, and what “weight” actually means when a character crosses a dying world.
Entry 014Creative Technology Studio
CreateBuildExperimentRewrite
Building software, games and ideas for tomorrow.
NOCTEN is a creative technology studio. Everything built here lives under one name, one standard, and one continuous line of work — not a collection of projects, but a single body of it.
Software, languages, worlds, pages, machines of thought. If it is made with intent, it belongs here.
“NOCTEN is not a portfolio. It is the early record of a company being built — deliberately, quietly, from first principles.”
Every language, every browser, every game, every book and every manuscript is a component in one connected ecosystem — each project making the next one possible. What is public today is a fraction of what is in motion. Something much larger is being built behind the scenes, the way the studios we admire once began: with a point of view, and the patience to defend it.
Four projects. One ecosystem. Details surface when they are ready.
Featured Project — PRJ/003
Active Development
A premium 2D cinematic action platformer. A dying world. A blade that remembers. Hand-built movement, deliberate combat, and a story told through light and silence.
VEILBLADE is currently in development. The studio builds in the dark and speaks only when there is something true to say. No footage. No demos. No dates. Only the work, moving forward.

Something much larger is being built behind the scenes.
Why the jump curve was rebuilt eleven times, and what “weight” actually means when a character crosses a dying world.
Entry 014Entropy is not a syntax exercise. It is an argument about what code should feel like when nobody is watching.
Entry 013The rendering engine was rewritten from the layer up. A note on what was thrown away, and why that was the point.
Entry 012Interfaces, worlds and sentences all share one material: restraint. On the discipline of leaving things out.
Entry 011One name, one standard, one continuous line of work. What NOCTEN became when it stopped being a plan.
Entry 010Closing book one, opening the cycle. Notes on finishing a story and immediately missing it.
Entry 009If you are building something that outlasts the moment — begin here.
